Systemic Solutions Are Essential

In a lot of cases, improving your self is not enough. You need to change the whole society or the system around you to make lasting change.

Look at the civil rights movements throughout the twentieth century and today, and the struggle for the vote from marginalised groups. In these cases, working on the self would have got people nowhere. Instead, they need to come together and demand the system to change.
