When you are learning something creative it can be tempting to follow other people who have done similar things before. You copy their workflow and try to imitate their methods. However, each person’s workflow is unique. Whilst some people may claim to have the ‘perfect method’, it may not work for you. This can lead to Imposter-Syndrome.
Instead, you need to find your own way forward, creating your own roadmap as you go. Focus-on-Process-not-the-end-goal and learn to Enjoy-the-creative-process. It may start similar to other people’s process but it will diverge.
